Our Partnership represents a robust, forward thinking and well connected team.

It combines VET organisations and specific agri food industry champions drawn from profit, non-profit and public sectors spanning operational right through to policy levels. Project partners have been assembled on the basis of their reach and connectivity to the food sector, VET and policy channels in their respective countries. Their connections are important to support the spread of a “Healthy Food” creative and innovative culture inside both small food supply chain businesses and their support networks of policy makers and influencers

CIDO

CIDO will lead the project. CIDO is a proven transnational lead partner with a strong agri food focus.  Led by Brian Hunter, the organisation works closely with the agri food & life sciences sector which in Feb 2014 employed over 10,000 people directly in the Craigavon Borough.   Their industry-specific knowledge and networking reach to their counterpart agency colleagues and District Councils throughout Northern Ireland ensures they have the reach and organisational strength to lead this project.

The Food Hub

The Food Hub is a best practice food production and education facility based in Drumshanbo. Co. Leitrim. Since it’s establishment in 2004, it has emerged as Ireland’s premier artisan multi tenant food production enterprise centre, established by a social enterprise. Its unique feature is a timeshare production kitchen and it provides a vital entrepreneurship training service for emerging start up food companies in a disadvantaged rural area. The Food Hub will lead the third strand of the project which is to test an innovative industry based employability training module with a cohort of young unemployed.

Momentum

Momentum is an enterprise focused research and training organisation specialising in developing progressive learning programmes and platforms for education and enterprise organisations. Momentum take responsiblity in this project for creating a new set of educational resources for Food SME Owners and Employees focused on creative ways to produce, market and distribute healthy food.  The aim is to up skill food business owners and employees on how to implement greater innovation and creativity in their business through a free online course.

Canice Consulting

Canice Consulting (CC) is a small yet established private company based in Northern Ireland which operates in the fields of local and regional development, enterprise education and management and technical support to EU networks and programmes. It provides a broad range of modern learning services to predominantly the EU market place. Canice Consulting will be responsible for the for the creation and technical development of the open educational resources to be delivered via the online course: “Creative ways to produce, market and distribute healthy food”, for Food SME Owners and Employees.

Euro Perspectives Foundation

Euro Perspectives Foundation is Bulgarian not-for-profit non-governmental organization registered in general (public) interest and public equivalent body. With a staff of 12 and a Management Board of 5 members, the mission of the Foundation is to foster sustainable development in Europe and to strengthen the European integration in the Western Balkans acting as a centre for training and education, information and experience exchange and policy-making initiatives. Euro Perspective Foundation, given their experience in regional food sector development as part of previous INTERREG projects will lead in the creation of the “Healthy Food Partnership Toolkit”, they will also be responsible for developing the Evaluation Plan and Sustainability Strategy. Their evaluation credentials are very impressive – they are part of the ex-ante evaluation team for the Rural Development Programme of Bulgaria 2014 – 2020.

FM KASZK

The Agricultural Vocational Centre of Central Hungary (VMK) is the largest agricultural school in this strong agriculture and food processing region. It has four VET divisions, more than 1500 students and a teaching staff of 150. With their expertise in pedagogy and the Colleges long tradition in mobility projects and international work, the Agricultural Vocational Centre of Central Hungary (VMK) are ideally placed to lead the pilot test output (O6) ensuring optimum appropriateness of the projects learning resources
